As designers we always have one core focus when designing packaging – to keep things clear and simple and free of noise.
Istanbul designer Mehmet Gözetlik has created a Minimalism Effect in the Maximalist Market by taking some of the most iconic international brands and stripping them.
The result is something you might see in a dystopian, 1984-esque future. Infact, the result is often better than the current branding.
The study aims to see how many elements can be removed from a product packaging and still retain a product’s branding. Packaging is of course a key element in brand marketing and some of the more famous brands’ elements are recognisable anywhere.
