how can we establish credibility in a new wellness category?

  • The Brief

    CBD is a nascent category that doesn’t yet have the awareness or trust of a wide audience. Without clear category codes, there is room for innovation but education is also needed and building credibility is a must.

    Design Happy was approached by Cannabotech to create the packaging and brand system for their range of CBD and mushroom wellness products. Their products have a bespoke formula which combines the powerful healing components of medicinal mushrooms with the beneficial properties of cannabidiol (CBD). 

    Our Approach

    Wanting to be recognised as the Botanical Pharmacy, Cannabotech combines the latest technology with the power of nature and modern science to provide personalised, holistic wellness solutions. These products are targeted at people who are looking for effective and natural products that promote balance to their body and mind to enhance their well-being.

    Our job was to navigate the tension and drive efficacy and reassurance through the brand without conforming to stereotypical design cues.

    By taking inspiration from the Botanical Pharmacy, we developed a high-science, binary language through detailed dot patterning that categorises the range whilst an earthy cardstock softened the science with a natural aesthetic. This combination, supported by the high-quality print finishes, helps to elevate its premium credentials.

    We’re very pleased that this project recently won SILVER at the Dieline Awards 2024.
